Twin Peaks
An amazing day called for something amazing. So I took off running...and wound up doing 15 miles. The pics below are from the top of Twin Peaks:
I took the long route and ran about 4 miles and it took about 35 minutes. Love them hills.
Twin Peaks, 2.3 miles if you take the most direct route. 56 minutes walking.

McBaker
I've talked a lot in the past (and on my other blog) about Paul Madonna and his All Over Coffee Column. In my weekly check in, I noticed a drawing of a very familiar location in the neighborhood - the intersection of McAllister and Baker as seen from the Southeast corner looking West. The building represented on the left is Matching Half Cafe. His writing is often just as intriguing as his artwork, check him out.
McAllister and Baker, 4 minutes walking. 0.2 miles from home.

Welcome.

The picture at the top of the blog is from a photography show I went to last year (also my favorite picture from the event), whereby everything featured had to be shot within 200 yards of the venue.
Needless to say, it was inspiring/amazing to see the work that people were able to put together, and it really reinforced the fact that there is beauty all around us. We just forget to look sometimes.
The other day, while on a run through my neighborhood, I realized just how many amazing things surrounded me. This blog is here to showcase photos of everything within 3 miles (on foot) from my front door.
This will be strictly enforced. For better or worse.
